FAQ

Why can I no longer book the respective category online?

Once a category is no longer bookable, it is fully booked/no longer available. If you do not meet the minimum stay requirements when making your request, the system will tell you that a higher number of nights is required for a booking.

I can no longer book the Basic tent pitch - can I book a Classic pitch instead?

Please always book the category that suits your setup, i.e. please book a basic tent pitch if you are arriving with a tent. In this case, please do not book another category (e.g. Classic pitch for caravans) If you have booked the wrong category and we have no more space in this category, there is a risk that we will have to turn you away.

How much does a night on a pitch cost?

Current prices for stays of the minimum duration (3 to 5 nights) can be found on our website and booking portal. If you are arriving spontaneously and only staying for one night, you can find the current price list here. (High season prices, until the end of August)

How do I enter add-ons (e.g. cars) in the booking?

During the booking process, please only indicate the number of additions, not the number of nights, i.e. if you stay with us for 3 nights with a caravan, please only indicate 1x car. (not 3x) unless you are travelling with multiple cars. If you have not done this when making your reservation, please contact us briefly by phone or e-mail so that we can make the addition to your reservation.

Minimum stay is for example 2/3 nights. Can I come for a shorter stay?

We require a minimum stay for a reservation in each category. This can be seen on the online booking tool or the respective price list. For accommodation, these minimum stays also apply to spontaneous travellers without a reservation. Spontaneous travellers with a camping bus/tent/caravan are also welcome without a reservation for fewer days than the specified minimum stay. Please note that in this case there is no guarantee of a pitch.

Can I add bed linen for the hostel/family cabins?

The hostel rooms and family cabins are equipped with woollen blankets and pillows. You can add bed sheets free of charge. We do not provide bed linen. We recommend that you bring your own sleeping bag or bed linen.

Is it possible to borrow a baby cot/ fall-out protection/ high chair?

It is possible to book a fall-out protection/bed barrier for each accommodation for a one-time fee of CHF 10. It is also possible to hire a baby cot (one-off CHF 20) and a high chair (one-off CHF 15) for the Schilthorn, bungalow and mobile homes.

Can I book a specific pitch?

You may indicate a pitch request in the comments during the booking process. We always do our best to fulfil this request, however we never promise to guarantee a place 100% due to occupancy, previous bookings, extensions, unforeseeable natural events, etc.

To book, we had to pay the deposit. When and how do I pay the remaining amount? What means of payment are accepted?

At the time of booking, 25% of the total amount will be automatically charged to your credit card. Please pay the remaining amount on site at check-in by credit card or cash.

Do you still have pitches/accommodation available?

As soon as pitches/accommodation are still available via our homepage, we still have vacancies. Please note that reservations for the existing day are no longer possible. In this case, you are considered a spontaneous traveller without a reservation and with no guarantee of a pitch.

Can I arrive earlier than 3pm?

As soon as a pitch is already available in the morning, there is the possibility of an early check-in. In this case, you can also check in before 3 p.m. for a surcharge of CHF 15. For the accommodation, it also depends on the occupancy. Once the accommodation has been cleaned and checked, it is also possible to check in before 3pm. This cannot be guaranteed in advance.

How long can I arrive in terms of time? What do I do when the reception is closed? What are the opening times of the reception?

Our reception is open daily 8-12 and 14.30-18.30. During the reception break (12-14.30), the telephone number of the campsite attendant is displayed in front of the reception, who is always available to help with arrivals.
